Mooney dominated the 15-years boys division, winning every event in the pool on his way to an age championship title.
His efforts were among the highlights at the Oasis, along with 10 individual records, including four to Riley Bradshaw.
The 12-years boys age champion claimed four 50-metre records in breaststroke, freestyle, backstroke and butterfly.
Millie McKenzie was the other multiple record breaker, setting new marks in the 13 years girls 200m individual medley, 50m breaststroke and 50m freestyle.
Bridget Stephens (15yrs girls 200m freestyle), Lillian Holtorf (16yrs girls 50m backstroke) and Jack Flanagan (senior boys 50m freestyle) also wrote their name into the record books.
Benedicta House claimed an emphatic hat-trick of swimming carnival honours, beating Romero by 100 points to win for the third year in a row.
Carnival convenor Ryan Price added that the year 12 synchronised swimming was another feature of the night.
"Congratulations to Oodgeroo House who took out the Synchronised Swimming Competition with a very entertaining routine," Price said.
