Ishka's Wagga store could soon shut its doors permanently, as the retail chain enters voluntary administration after a "catastrophic" Christmas sales season.

The manager of the city's store, on Baylis Street, declined to say if or when the store would officially close. However, the chain has hired an administrator and have begun a total clearance sale.
The shop will remain open as usual until further notice.

Ishka owner Toby Darvall said the decision was "devastating" but necessary, in light of a shipment delay in late November that caused them to miss the peak Christmas shopping season.
Mr Davall has not discounted the possibility of reviving the chain, however he said it would require a "miracle" at this stage.
He thanked customers for their loyalty up until this point, and he wished them all "good karma".
