For the past seven years, the book they have chosen for the region-wide book club has gone on to win enormous accolades.
This year's book - Charlotte Wood's The Weekend - is no exception, having already been longlisted for the 2020 Stella Prize.
Last year, the One Book, One Wagga group chose Chris Hammer's crime novel Scrublands which then went on to win the New Blood Dagger Award.
Across the city and the region, it was read by 900 people, and to conclude the reading, 120 people joined the author at a gala dinner.
This year, the book club will be looking to raise those figures even high before The Weekend author Charlotte Wood arrives for the gala event on May 29.
"They have all been stellar authors," said library services manager Claire Campbell.
"We choose authors that are Australian and that reflect life in Australia.
"This is the largest book club in the region, and membership is easy, if you read the book you're part of the club."
The One Book, One Wagga group launched their reading list on Friday, to mark Library Lovers Day.
Up to 70 copies of the book have been purchased by the Friends of the Library group, and distributed across the region's many libraries.
