The construction, which will connect Kooringal Road to the newly built centre, is expected to be completed by April 3, as long as weather permits.
Roadworks are currently taking place alongside the entrance to the Wagga Christian College on Kooringal Road.
"Council is making every effort to minimise the disruption to school traffic," a spokesperson for Wagga City Council said.
"Any work that has the potential to cause major delays to road users during school drop-off and pick-up times has been scheduled for the weekends or at night."
During times of increased construction works, traffic controls may be in place.
Meanwhile a temporary 40km/h speed limit will be enforced until the completion of the scheduled constructions.
The spokesperson said the intention of the construction was to divert traffic away from the Copland Street entrance to the centre, therein providing a stand-alone exit point.
"The new exit road will improve the way people are able to leave the venue," the spokesperson said.
