Wagga City Council's parks and strategic operations manager Henry Pavitt said the donkey duo have reached a stage in their lives when its time to find them a new home.
He said the council has started to advertise for expressions of interest to re-home the much-loved donkeys of Wagga's zoo.
During her stay at the zoo, Jenny has had three foals - Bubba, Junior and Shrimp, all of which were named after characters in the Forrest Gump movie.
In other news:
Mr Pavitt said Shrimp will be the only donkey left at the zoo after his parents find new homes.
However, he said the enclosure can accommodate three donkeys and the council intends to find two new friends for the young donkey.
"It is an opportunity to introduce new bloodlines to the donkey enclosure and therefore the council will acquire two new donkeys," he said.
"There may be a pause in the breeding program."
