Bangerz for Bushfires, held at Kooringal High School on Saturday night, featured a line-up drawn entirely from the city's up-and-coming performers, who wanted to help out both the volunteer firefighters and the families who were affected by the blazes that swept across the state.
The concert was the brainchild of Kooringal High School graduate Eve St John, who put it together as part of her involvement with a nationwide talent development program.
Ms St John also brought her skills to the stage, headlining in the concert.
The line-up of eight local acts included a couple of big bands and a DJ, in addition to Ms St John herself. All of the performers were aged between 16 and 25.
Jaime Esler, who performed as part of the band Loophole, said it had been an awesome night, with more than 200 tickets being sold.

"It was really good to be able to do something to help out the people affected by the bushfires," Jaime said.
"But it was also great to have the opportunity to perform like that."
Jamie's band Loophole is made up entirely of students from Kooringal High School and she said they - and other performers - were thrilled so many people had turned out to support them.
"All of the artists were very excited to have so much support," she said.
Concert tickets were priced at just $5 so that as many people as possible were able to enjoy the performances, but extra money was raised through sale of food and additional voluntary donations.
