WAGGA'S softballers are hopeful Saturday's forecast heatwave conditions won't delay their return to action after the Christmas break, with 43 degrees predicted for the start of the weekend.

Saints and Turvey Park Red are scheduled to meet in the feature match of the Wagga softball competition which resumes after a six week recess.
The Saints were in good form before the break with big innings the highlight in their two most recent games, including an eight-run inning against the Warriors.
They were the only runs they scored in the game, and it was a similar situation in their win over Turvey Park Blue where they racked up ten runs in one inning.
The Reds will go into the game knowing they can beat the Saints, based on their win over them when they last met.
Rochelle Harley, Paula Potts, Tessa McGlynn, Desi Calder and Gemma McGlynn are the batters the Reds will have to try and contain if they're to have a win over the Saints again.
Turvey Park will look to Sarah Carter, Amanda Lenon, Kate Johnson, Jade Olsen and Anneka Piercy to do well in offence in what should be a close game.
In the other match, competition leaders, South Wagga Warriors, should be too strong for the Turvey Park Blues.
The Blues will be without some of their more experienced players whose absence puts the younger players under more pressure, both in offence and defence.
The Warriors are right 'on song' to snare yet another premiership and have few weaknesses. They will certainly go into the match expecting to win, whilst the Blues will look to improve on their last game against the Warriors.
