News Girl made it back-to-back metropolitan victories with a runaway win in the $125,000 Benchmark 84 Fillies & Mares Handicap (1100m).
The win continued a great run for trainer Geoff Duryea and connections after her breakthrough city win last start on Boxing Day.
Duryea was most pleased for the owners, some of which have been with his stable for 25 years.
"She's done well, she's a credit to herself and I love these guys that are in her," Duryea told Racing.Com after the race.
"There was no races from Boxing Day until today so I thought I'll just let her do her thing at home and she's come up trumps.
"I said to the guys, she's going as good as I could ever get her to go."
Victorian apprentice Lewis German rode the mare to victory.
Duryea will return to Caulfield in a fortnight for the $160,000 group three Geoffrey Bellmaine Stakes (1200m) for mares.
Former SDRA Horse of the Year, O' So Hazy, was a length and half back in second place.
