McDougall entered the Corowa meeting with a nine-win lead on fellow apprentice Tyler Schiller but stretched the margin to 12 with a big day out.
McDougall was successful on Storming Eclipse ($2.20), Haralben ($2.10) and Rugged Roy ($2.80)
The talented hoop will be shooting for his second consecutive SDRA premiership and is well on his way after kicking clear of Schiller over the last month.
Two of his wins at Corowa came for the Hayes-Dabernig stable, who have been in brilliant form when crossing the border.
Rugged Roy backed up his last-start Albury maiden win with victory in the Mulwala Water Ski Club Benchmark 66 Handicap (1400m).
Victorian apprentice Logan McNeil also enjoyed a winning treble on Tuesday, courtesy of wins on Audrey's Destiny ($15), This Skilled Cat ($7.50) and Equally Wild ($11).
Meantime, Yass sprinter Haralben improved his record to four wins from nine career starts with victory in the Upton's Centre Pivot Irrigation Class Three Handicap (1000m) at Corowa.
Harlaben was unable to find the lead but sat outside Jewel Of The Clan ($4.20) and proved too strong in the home straight, winning by over a length.
