Kooringal skipper Keenan Hanigan is hopeful that will be the case after admitting his bottom-placed team has run out of second chances before Saturday's clash with Lake Albert at Rawlings Park.
The Colts have endured a frustrating summer with just one win from nine games and enter the clash six points behind the fourth-placed Bulls, effectively meaning they must win to have any slight hope of playing finals.
They will be boosted by the return of experienced medium-pacer and handy lower order batsman Mark Vincent (hamstring) after a few games out.
Before the last round was cancelled due to heat, the Colts had shown signs they are capable of launching a late season rally.
They followed up their only win of the year, against Lake Albert, with one-wicket and 17-run losses to Wagga RSL and competition powerhouse South Wagga.
"Every game is pretty much a final for us now. It's do or die, we can't really afford to lose any more games and it's our fault," Hanigan said.
"This game's massive to get closer to them (Bulls), who are sitting in fourth spot.
"We seem to be bowling well and batting badly one week, then the next week it might be the other way around. It's a consistency thing, if we can put it all together we'll be fine.
"We've only won one game, but bar one we've been in every contest. That's one positive we see, we're not getting smashed every week but we have to find a way to finish off games. Hopefully once we get a win we'll get on a roll."
