Saints rally around 'Chooka'
North Wagga were rocked by Josh Hanlon's illness just days after being in their best in 2018.
Complications would led to the amputation of his right hand and both legs below the knee but it hasn't stopped his fighting spirit.

He's won five Brian Lawrence Medals but Jon Nicoll's use of a Mankad to dismiss Sam Perry in 2018 drew plenty of attention.
The controversial mode of dismissal was given the all clear by officials but left a bitter taste with many.

AFL Riverina investigate umpire incident
Usually it is players who can get heated in the middle, but in 2017 it was two umpires coming together at Kindra Park that had everyone talking.
Central umpire, Rob Apted, and goal umpire, Denis Rudd, had to be separated by colleagues and Rudd didn't come back out for the second half.
Hamilton banned for life
Former Coleambally coach Josh Hamilton went over the 16-game national limit after receiving a three-game ban in 2017.
Hamilton led the Blues to their first grand final appearance in 10 years but copped an eight-week suspension in the big one which put him on the cusp of the life ban.
Just this week news broke the ban had been overturned on appeal.
Sweeney banned for 12 months
Drama was never far away from Tumbarumba captain-coach Aaron Sweeney but it finally caught up with him in 2015 when he was handed a year-long ban by the Group Nine board over a contrary conduct charge.
Group Nine said they were drawing a "line in the sand" after the big forward contravened the sin bin rules by storming out of the sheds to remonstrate with the Laurie Daley Oval crowd.

Lawton to fight deregistration
Finishing off the trend, former Ganmain-Grong Grong- Matong forward James Lawton announced plans to fight a suspension that would have ended his football career.
Lawton was suspended for five games in 2016, which took him over the 16-game mark which results in a life ban.
He won and is still playing, but is still never far away from the headlines.
Five legged wonder horse
A feel good story to finish the list about Trevor Sutherland's aptly named Spare Parts, a filly born with another leg spurring off from its front right leg.
Not only did she make it to the track in 2015 after an operation to remove the extra appendage but won four races in her career.
