Jumping from box six, the Helen Finn-trained bitch ($1.55) settled third early in the 320m sprint and despite being checked by the leaders coming around the turn, bolted away down the straight to win easily by three lengths in a time of 18.53 seconds from the David Cox-trained Temps Itch.
It was Tiggerlong Ginga's third straight win at her home Wagga track after her victory from box eight on New Year's Eve and an easy win on December 13, both also over the 320m distance.
Tiggerlong Ginga's time of 18.53 was the second fastest of Friday's three heats, with Brian Smith's raging favourite Tanami Express (17.97 secs) justifying his $1.30 price by winning his heat by over eight lengths.
"It was a gutsy run today. Once she saw a bit of daylight she got through OK," Helen's husband Mick said.
"She was down in Victoria early where she won her first race and she got a couple of knocks and bumps. I brought her back here to give her a rest, and she's got her confidence back.
"If she jumps she's up there with anyone in the final."
The $3310 final will be the highlight of Wagga's meeting on Friday, January 10.
