The Equex Centre at Copland Street in East Wagga will offer Red Cross services to register, find and reunite family, friends and loved ones after an emergency.
NSW Family and Community Services has also established a Disaster Welfare centre at the Equex Centre to distribute groceries and clothes from the Salvation Army.
Register services will let people know you are safe and find services will be available to look for people you know who might be affected by an emergency.
Reunite is a matching process that enables the Red Cross, with permission, to share details to connect family, friends and loved ones.
"We have opened a registration centre here in Wagga for people who have been displaced through the fires from the areas around Batlow, Adelong and Tumbarumba," Inspector Deall said.
"I would just like to reassure the community that there is no threat to Wagga, we are just assisting our neighbours with people who can't stay in their own homes at the moment.
"We'd like to say a big thank you to the Wagga community for all the donations."
Inspector Deall said the Rural Fire Service centre on Fernleigh Road had been "swamped" by "a large number of donations".
Inspector Deall said donations for firefighters could be made at the International Hotel on Edward Street in Wagga.
Inspector Deall said Wagga's "fantastic community" had been cooperating with instructions from emergency services during the bushfires.
"People do generally take the information that we give them and do the right thing," she said.
Inspector Deall said police would enforce roadblocks under RFS guidance.
