Turvey Park Fire and Rescue station commander Jason Kaul said despite the drop in rating, caution must still be taken.
"People do need to remember that resources are limited at the moment and conditions can vary and change at any time," he said.
Debate around what can and cannot be done during a total fire ban was also put to rest as Mr Kaul said doing things such as mowing lawns and slashing were allowed.
"It's just open flames that can't be made or used," he said.
"It is obviously always hazardous cutting grass as it may spark but it is totally allowable, we just urge caution and ask people to have precautions in place."
Mr Kaul reminded the public that things can change very quickly, and said to remain aware of surroundings.
