As Christmas closes in, the Jets are confident they'll complete the Farrer League coaching picture for next season by the time 2020 rolls around.
"We're hoping we've got some information to announce by the new year," Jets' junior vice-president Andrew Clark said.
"We've been talking to a few players and hope to finalise it by then."
Mitch Haddrill will stay on to play next year but shortly after winning his second league medal, announced he'd step aside as coach to allow the club to bring in someone new.
Clark (who was replaced by Simon Gaynor as president at the Jets' annual general meeting) said they hope to retain most of their players and "numbers seem pretty good."
They've already appointed Joe Catlin as reserve grade coach and Norm Walker to take charge of their under 17.5 team. The Jets will have a Christmas party and light run on Sunday and aim to lock in their leadership soon.
Meanwhile, at Charles Sturt University, veteran Wayde Archibald has taken on an assistant coaching role to Pat Noonan.
"I'm very stoked to have Wayde on board for next year, especially in that role," Noonan said. "It made sense to ask him to come and be an assistant... the boys know he has a fair bit of experience. They respect him and I've got massive respect for Wayde.
"He's got tonnes of experience in football but he's very humble, softly spoken, and I think he'll bring that good balance that we need. I can learn a lot from him within my own coaching too."
The highly-regarded Archibald joined the Bushpigs in 2012 and played for three seasons, including winning their best-and-fairest in 2014.
He returned to play at Peter Hastie Oval last season, adding invaluable experience.
Archibald replaces Brayden Ambler as assistant coach, who stays on at CSU in a playing role.
