Two big days of tennis action kicked off with the stage two event for year three and four students.
Mater Dei came out on top, winning four sets to love over Lutheran Primary School in Thursday's final.
The Kaitlin Staines Cup will be decided on Friday when six schools compete in the stage three division for year five and six students.
South Wagga Tennis Club coach Zac Burhop was impressed by the standard of tennis on display on Thursday.
"It was fantastic. All of these kids play competitive tennis in our local competition so the standard was quite good," Burhop said.
"The serving was good, there was really good ground strokes...it was the best of the best so it was good to watch and see so many kids enjoying their tennis throughout the community."
Kaitlin Staines returned home from the US to be in attendance on Thursday.
