Quick action by firies prevented the grass fire from spreading.
The Turvey Park Fire Station crew were called to the scene at 12.21pm after a report that about five square metres of grass was on fire.
Station officer Rick Cousins said there is no apparent cause.
"No one had seen anyone light the fire," he said.
"It only took about five minutes to extinguish.
"There was just one crew and the fire was just on the side of the levee bank."
