THE fifth annual Cork and Fork Fest in Wagga was hailed a success as an estimated 1300 people packed the Civic Precinct to enjoy food and drinks from local vendors.
On Friday, event goers were immersed in live entertainment by ELK - a five-piece folk, pop, rock band playing an array of music.
"We had a good turnout and there was a mixed crowd this time," organiser Time McMullen said.
"It had been such a hot day so we weren't sure if people were going to come out.
"Once it cooled down, people came out to enjoy the beautiful evening and the breeze."
Mr McMullen said plans for next year's events are already in the works, which includes more use of Wagga Beach to coincide with its running as a top 20 beach in Australia.
