South Wagga extended their lead on top of the Cricket Wagga ladder with a 181-run win over Wagga City at McPherson Oval on Saturday.

The Blues made light work of the top of the table clash and were successfully able to defend their total of 2-287 (dec) by dismissing Wagga City for 106.
In-form South Wagga paceman Alex Smeeth was the chief destroyer with 5-25, including the prized wicket of Jon Nicoll for 40.
Wagga City went in for a second innings and quickly ended any sniff of an outright result by working their way to 0-83 from 19 overs.
South Wagga stand-in captain Joel Robinson was pleased with the Blues' seventh straight win to start the season.
"It was a pretty complete game," Robinson said.
"We batted really well last week and then got the wicket late in the day.
"Then we came out and bowled really well this week.
"We're fully aware things can change around fairly quickly in cricket and it showed from the semi-final to grand final last year so we're not getting ahead of ourselves.
"We want to keep improving."
Resuming at 1-5, Wagga City were immediately on the back foot with the loss of two quick wickets.
Jon Nicoll and Blake Walker (21) then steadied the ship before the Cats teenager was dismissed by a brilliant delivery from Lachie Skelly.
From there, the Cats lost their last seven wickets for 30 runs.
Aside from Smeeth, South Wagga's two spinners, Skelly (3-19) and Mitch Sykes (1-16), impressed with the ball.
"It was good. We got three wickets in the first session, which is what we needed to with the wicket being flat and the outfield fast," Robinson said
