Saints won a batter-dominated clash over Turvey Park Blue 18-11 in the latest round of Wagga softball on Saturday.

No less than thirty safe hits were recorded in the match, with the Saints notching up seventeen and Turvey's thirteen.
Individual honours went to the Saints' Gemma McGlynn and Alicia Donohue with three hits apiece, one of which was a home run, while Kadison Hofert and Tessa McGlynn also struck home runs for the Saints.
Turvey's best batter on the day was Nerida Bates who had two hits, including a home run, while Paris Hall, Leila Wadley and Sharon Hall also had two hits each for the Blues.
After regulation shutouts in the first innings, Saints took an early lead when Tessa McGlynn, Jess Wild and Alicia Donohue all scored in the bottom of the second.
The Blues then opened their scoring when two crossed the plate in the top of the third, and after shutting out Saints in the bottom of the third took the lead when Kayla Horne, Ruby Thornely, Phoebe Wadley and Bates all made it home.
Turvey's lead was short-lived, however, as the Saints produced the best tally of the match to date when they brought in six to be three runs up after four innings.
Both teams scored runs in the fifth and Turvey's three runs in the top of the sixth saw the score read 11-12 entering the bottom of the sixth.
It was in this innings that home runs to Gemma McGlynn and Alicia Donohue enabled Saints to score the necessary six more runs to have the mercy rule applied.
The Blues will meet Turvey Park Red next week, whilst the Saints will play South Wagga Warriors.
South Wagga Warriors had to work hard before edging out Turvey Park Red 7-6. Turvey Park Red opened the game with two runs, courtesy of Amanda Lenon and Karina Dennis.
The Warriors responded with a single when Montana Kearnes was batted in by Makaylee Little. Both teams were shut out in the second and the Warriors took the lead in the bottom of the third when they added two runs to the Reds none in the innings.
Turvey again took the lead when they batted in three, namely Alex Maiden, Anneka Piercy and Jade Olsen.The Warriors added a single in the bottom of the fourth.
Another one run to Turvey in the top of the fifth and two to the Warriors in the bottom of the fifth tied the scores up with only an innings remaining before the game was called.
Turvey failed to add to their tally in the sixth, but Layhnee Kearnes' home run deep into left field won the game for the Warriors.
Next Saturday will see the Warriors play Saints and the Reds meet the Blues in the Turvey Park derby.
