The 52-year-old claimed the Masters title at the ICompete Natural world championships at Melbourne Convention Centre three weeks ago, and also snared second in the elite opens against younger competitors.
After ten years out of Wagga, Davidson returned to to town this year and trains out of Empire Gym.
"I compete at about 101kg, I was the heaviest on stage that day," Davidson said.
Davidson won the Mr Australia title four years in a row from 2006, but took a few years off before his recent return.
At this stage he plans on skipping next year's world title in Las Vegan to focus on the national crown.
"Rather than go to worlds and compete in the open event, even though I think I have a good show at it, I'll try and win the Australian title and then do more pro events," he said.
