The Sutton Forest trainer won both heats of the series with littermates No Problem Here and Fierce Fran both using the one box to their advantage.
Fierce Fran was the fastest of the pair, clocking 30.24 as she downed Chew The Fat by five lengths while No Problem Here went 30.32 as he beat Spirit Of Arlene by almost seven lengths.
The $3000-to-the-winner final will be run on Friday.
Clayton also tasted success later in the card with Brilliant Major wining the Simaroo Lodge Stakes (320m).
Illabo trainer Ray Sims won a double on the night with Soustaille and Ritza Kez both winning their first races while Paul Strutt tasted early success with Trundle Betty going one better than her last run to claim the Ladbrokes Cash In 0-2 Wins Stakes (525m).
Tiggerlong Thief for Gerard Molloy took out the Ladbrokes Monthly Medal Stakes (320m).
