The AFL double header at Robertson Oval has thrown a spanner into plans for the Wagga cricket finals.

Robertson Oval was penciled in to play host to the preliminary final on March 7 and 8 as well as the grand final the following weekend.
However use of the premier ground is now in doubt.
Wagga cricket operations manager Paul McKelvie believes more will be known after a meeting with Wagga City Council later this week.
"We will have a plan of attack once we talk to council," McKelvie said. "Council are trying to organise a meeting.
"Council have been proactive with Wagga cricket and we will hear what are options are from there and move forward."
McPherson Oval looms as the ground most likely to fill the void.
However McKelvie is pleased with the state of the turf wickets across the city.
"The wickets in Wagga are as good as they've been for a while," he said.
"We've got other options but would obviously prefer the premier venue."
With the grand final rematch between Greater Western Sydney and Richmond on March 8 and the AFLW fixture between the two clubs the day early preparation time for the ground will need to be determined.
The last time Robertson Oval hosted a pre-season AFL game in 2016, cricket was unable to use the ground for two weekends before the fixture but finals were played on the ground the following week
