A lack of runs has been a major issue for the Bulldogs in recent years but the same can't be said for their bowling depth, with spearhead Nick Grant expected to return against Lake Albert at Rawlings Park on Saturday after missing last week's Twenty20 season openers.
The Bulldogs split their Twenty20 clashes with a win over St Michaels and a loss to Wagga City, with the Cas hauling in their total of 7-123 with three balls to spare.
"I think we can used the depth in our bowling a bit better (in one day cricket)," Willis said.
"We've got quite a long bowling attack with a lot of variety. If something's not working we've got the ability to change it, and take the game in a different direction.
"Runs on the board are key for us. We've struggled at times to put a competitive total on the board, or chase modest totals."
Batsman Will Morley is unavailable for the Bulldogs.
