Mel Cramp and Lyn Stewart share the lead with defending champion Josie Currie one shot back heading into the fourth and final round.
Currie etched her name into the record books last year when becoming the youngest ever win of the ladies club championship at age 13.
She has suffered an interrupted preparation for this year's title defence but everything is in place for a thrilling final round on Thursday, according to Wagga Country Club manager John Turner.
"We've got a tie at the top and Josie one shot behind," Turner said.
"Josie actually broke her arm a few months back so she hasn't really been able to play a lot of golf in the off-season. She's done well to be right there.
"Mel and Lyn have played a lot of golf so it should be a really good finish."
The opening two rounds were played on Tuesday and Thursday of last week, with the final two rounds held over this week.
The move to the school holidays has worked well for the club, allowing for the likes of Currie and Cramp, a teacher, to take part.
The final round action will get underway from 7am on Thursday.
The opening two rounds of the Country Club men's club championships will be held on Saturday and Sunday, November 2-3.
