Diversions have been lifted following this morning's fatal crash on Goldfields Way, in Old Junee.
Goldfields Way between Old Junee Road and Canola Way have reopened.
Update 4.15pm
NSW Police are reminding people about their responsibilities on the road following a number of serious crashes across the state in the last 24 hours.
A 23-year-old woman lost her life this morning in Old Junee after her vehicle veered off the road and collided with a tree.
This tragedy follows the death of three people, in three separate incidents on Friday.
A 25-year-old female passenger died in a three-vehicle collision in Ermington; a pedestrian, aged in his 50s, was hit and killed by a car in Canley Vale and a motorcyclist, aged 57, died when his bike collided with a utility in Forster.
Traffic and Highway Patrol commander, Assistant Commissioner Michael Corboy, said that even one life lost on our roads is one too many, especially when they could be prevented.
"We are working to reduce the lives lost in preventable tragedies on our roads," Assistant Commissioner Corboy said.
"It is important that every driver, or rider, takes responsibility to ensure that safety is their number one priority when they are behind the wheel, or on their bike.
"Please slow down, wear your seatbelt, avoid handling mobile telephones, make certain you are adequately rested before driving, and take regular breaks to avoid fatigue."
11.30am
A woman has died after her car left the road and hit a tree earlier this morning.
A NSW Police spokesperson said emergency services were called to Goldfields Way, between Old Junee Road and Canola Way in Old Junee, after reports that a Mitsubishi sedan had left the road and hit a tree.
"Officers attached to Riverina Police District, NSW Ambulance paramedics and Fire and Rescue NSW attended," the spokesperson said.
"The driver, believed to be a 23-year-old female and sole occupant of the vehicle, died at the scene.
"A crime scene has been established and inquiries are continuing into the circumstances surrounding the crash."
Local traffic diversions are in place with traffic being diverted north bound at the intersection of Olympic Way and southbound at the intersection of Old Junee Road and Goldfields Way.
Earlier
A young woman has died this morning in Old Junee in a single vehicle car crash.
Emergency services were called to Goldfields Way just before 9am and the female patient, believed to be in her early 20s, died at the scene.
NSW Ambulance Inspector Eamon Purcell said initial reports indicated that the patient was critically ill, which attracted a large response including the Toll Rescue Helicopter from Canberra and three road crews.
"The helicopter was cancelled," Inspector Purcell said.
"We also need to thank a registered nurse who stopped by the accident scene and called Triple Zero. The nurse provided invaluable assistance prior to the arrival of paramedics and we are grateful for her support.
"This is such a tragedy and a waste of young life so it serves as a timely reminder for all motorists to take care on the roads particularly during the school holiday period that is upon us."
Motorists are being advised that Goldfields Way is closed in both directions and diversions are in place.
