The incident occurred about 7.15pm and the taxi sedan sustained damage to its rear passenger door on the left side, but no one was injured.
A NSW Ambulance spokesperson said both drivers involved refused assessment and as a result, no one was transported to hospital.
NSW Fire and Rescue and Wagga Police attended the scene and firefighters cleared the road, while Trail Street was closed in the southbound direction.
Firefighters swept and sprayed water in an effort to clear the roads of any glass or other materials from the collision and the taxi was towed away.
The Daily Advertiser contacted Wagga Police for more information, but a duty officer was not available.
