On Wednesday afternoon, the Shell and Mobil stations were selling unleaded non-e10 petrol for 121.9 cents per litre, which was up to 22 cents cheaper than many outlets in Wagga.
Junee Fuels Mobil service station manager Hussaim said he had set the market-leading price and was getting a lot of repeat customers.
"I set the price. We are always the cheapest petrol," he said.
"The other petrol stations follow me and when my prices go down, they come down as well.
"Customers have mentioned how we are cheaper."
At the same time, prices in Albury were as low as 128.9 cents per litre and most Griffith outlets were at the 140-cent level while the statewide average was 138 cents.
Junee's prices on Wednesday were lower than back in November, when its stations offered a similar discount margin compared to Wagga's average prices.
NRMA spokeswoman Rebecca Page said Junee's prices were exceptional and drivers should reward low prices with their business.
"That is one of the cheapest prices in the state and is significantly cheaper than anything we have found in quite a while," she said.
"The closest we have seen in regional areas has been in Orange when they were sitting at the early 130-cent level, but that Junee price: wow.
"It's safe to say that can be classified as a bargain, even at 124.9 cents down the road at United is wonderful for motorists."
Ms Page said any savings on petrol bills could quickly add up and make a difference for families.
"We'd encourage motorists from around the region who know they'll be heading to or close by Junee to go an fill up at the cheaper stations and support them," she said.
In October, one petrol station on the Sturt Highway in Wagga created a surge in demand by dropping its unleaded price to 28 cents below its nearest competitors for one afternoon.
Ms Page said prices at many Wagga petrol stations were close or below average on Wednesday.
"What we find in places like Wagga is they don't tend to have the highs and the lows that the city does...prices never get as high but it means they won't be as low as they can be," she said.
"In Sydney there is a petrol price cycle that is very unique compared to other capital cities, going really high and then really low.
"It doesn't matter where you are in NSW, our advice is the same: have a look at prices before you fill up as we are so lucky that we have all the real-time data available in the palm of our hands with the NRMA app."
