Nine days ago, Scott landed a training double with Carano and Hail The Hero at Albury, but this time they have to meet in the same race.
She will also start Supplyzing in the Class Three (1200m) giving her a chance of another double, but the odds of landing the quinella with her last start winners are just as high as last week.
Carano, who has won two of her three starts since joining the Scott stable, will start from gate one allowing her the chance for another all the way victory for four kilogram claiming apprentice jockey, Damon Budler.
His allowance will reduce Carano's weight to 58 kilograms from an ideal draw which Scott believes gives her the edge.
"It's not ideal they race against each other, but the mile suits and they are both fine after last week," Scott said.
"She will lead and prove hard to run down, while Hail The Hero will have to try and catch her."
Leading jockey Blaike McDougall will take over on Hail The Hero who carried 61 kilograms to victory last week.
One of the main chances, Maid Of Ore, is ready to fire at her third start back from a spell after a close fourth at Hawkesbury, which followed a first-up run in a Highway Handicap in Sydney.
The consistent Bravado Lass has been placed at her past three starts and is due for a change of luck, while last start winner Helstar has been in peak form.
Helstar isn't a confirmed starter and neither is another of the main contenders, the Luke Pepper-trained Gypsy Miss.
Scott believes her duo are ready to show up again.
"Carano won an open handicap last start and Hail The Hero a benchmark race and she probably ticks a few more boxes than him If I had to pick one over the other," she said.
As for Supplyzing, Scott is looking for him to run a forward race first-up with a view to contesting the $20,000 Griffith Cup (1350m) on Saturday week.
"He has won first-up before, but is a bit older now so I will see how he goes," she said.
Meanwhile, Wagga trainer Gary Colvin has a lot to look forward to on Thursday with the return to racing of Tully Toff and Snippet Of Gold.
The duo have been off the scene for extended periods and will be racing for the first time in several months.
Snippet Of Gold hasn't raced for 12 months, while Tully Toff's form tapered off at the end of his last campaign before he underwent a throat operation.
Tully Toff showed a lot of potential in some of his early starts, while Snippet Of Gold has produced some powerful finishes to win at Wagga.
"Snippet Of Gold has had a trial, but he will definitely need a start to bring on his race fitness," Colvin said.
"Tully Toff has a fair bit of ability, but he has drawn wide with a big weight."
