A man was caught cowering behind a vending machine after tripping an alarm when allegedly breaking into an educational premises.

Wagga Police Superintendent Bob Noble said a security alarm went off at 9.30pm on Monday at a Murray Street college.
"Security attended and called police," he said.
"They found a 30-year-old male on the premises. He was arrested and bail refused."
Superintendent Noble said police had found the man "cowering behind a vending machine" and they seized implements used to allegedly break-in.
The 30-year-old was due to appear before court on Wednesday.
