Reversing last yer's grand final result, the Blacks put in a powerful second half performance to book a clash with Waratahs in the first women's 10s grand final.
The minor premiers led 17-5 at half-time but for the second week running who kept scoreless in the second half at Exies Oval.
The Blacks fired in three quickfire tries to put their noses in front before a late effort sealed the 25-17 win.
CSU coach Andy Bedford was disappointed his side couldn't hold on to go through to their fourth grand final in five season.
"It was a games of two halves unfortunately for us," Bedford said.
"Up 17-5 at half-time we were playing really well and then the first five minutes of the second half was as bad as it could have got for us.
"Turnover ball led to three tries in four minutes.
"We tried to claw it back but just couldn't get out of our own 22."
Despite a late chance Reddies couldn't find their way over the line to fall to successive finals losses.
Ua Ravu was a standout for Griffith, pulling off a number of try-saving tackles while Emma Robertson led the way for CSU.
Waratahs, who downed CSU to make it through to their first grand final, and Griffith have scored a win a piece this season.
However they haven't clashed since round six.
Waratahs scored a 41-10 win on on that occasion, reversing the result from the previous week where Griffith scored a 32-17 win as part as the all women's round.
