The Wagga side will now head to Twickenham to face Young on Sunday with their elimination final and the qualifying final between Albury and Brothers being altered from the usual Group Nine finals set-up.
It means Albury will have the home ground advantage as they look to become the second side to get the better of Brothers this season in Saturday's clash at Greenfield Park.
Albury cemented third spot of the ladder, and their finals second chance, with a 20-4 win over Kangaroos at Equex Centre on Saturday.
It meant they finished a win clear of Young despite their 36-0 victory over Cootamundra on Sunday.
Brothers head into the finals series after a 30-14 win over Southcity while minor premiers Temora have the week off following their 64-0 win over winless Junee on Friday night.
The move also better aligns clubs over the first week of the finals series.
