Over eight days, a cavalcade of draught horse, camel, bullock and donkey teams will journey from Barellan to Moombooldool, Kamarah, Ardlethan, the former site of Mrs Hilton's Inn and several private properties before returning to Barellan.

On top of reliving Australia's heritage, the event will raise money for Motor Neurone Disease through the auctioning of an Akubra hat and ticket sales with a target of $10,000.

This year 20 passengers will be taken along to experience the old-world culture, according to drive coordinator Bruce Bandy who said only four tickets remain.

"This may be a one-off opportunity for people to join one of the most unique drives ever seen in modern times around the nation," he said.

Mr Bandy said the drive would highlight some of the region's most breathtaking scenery, taking a different route each time over the past three years the drive has been running

"We will be following the stock routes away from the main roads, sleep under the stars and eat our meals around a campfire," he said.

"The drive will be at slow pace allowing everyone to experience the beauty of the landscape and natural environment, and escape the pressures of modern life for a while."

The Tribute to the Teams Drive will leave Barellan showground on Sunday, September 22 and travel about 100km.
