Wagga's emergency services are prepared in case today predicted's wild weather hits the city.
There have so far been no reports of any major incidents, according to an State Emergency Services spokesman, but he said personnel were aware of the predictions of a day of strong winds.
Wagga's expected maximum temperature today is just 10 degrees. At 9.30am it was 7.3 degrees.
The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a sheep graziers warning as high winds whip across the region.
According to the BoM, cold temperatures, showers and strong westerly winds are expected during Friday and Saturday and there is a risk of losses of lambs and sheep exposed to these conditions.
So far, winds gusts have reached speeds of 78 kilometres an hour, which was recorded by the BoM at 1.36am.
