A MAN has been taken to hospital after sustaining injuries from a snake bite.

About 12.19pm today, two ambulance crews were called to Burra Creek, about 30km north of Gundagai, after reports a man had been bitten by a snake.
"When we arrived, we treated one male, approximately 35 years old," a NSW Ambulance spokesperson said.
"He was suffering from a snake bite believed to have been from a brown snake."
The man was taken to Gundagai Hospital via road ambulance. He was in a stable condition.
The ambulance spokesperson said the incident happened opposite the Burra Fire Brigade station.
A Murrumbidgee Local Health District spokesperson said the man is in stable condition at Gundagai Multipurpose Service.
The spokesperson confirmed that the man is 35 years old.
