The dry start to the year has continued through July and does not look to be changing significantly over the next month, according to the Bureau of Meteorology.

July saw 27.6mm of total rain fall across the Wagga region, which is almost half of the average 54.4mm expected at this time of year in the past.
"It was forecast to be dry though, so the lack of rain came as no shock," Bureau of Meteorology Wagga technical officer Nigel Smedley said.
The BOM also reported an average maximum temperature of 13.8 degrees Celsius - a degree above the historical average.
The minimum average was also higher than the historical figure by 0.6 degrees, reaching 3.4 degrees.
"The warmest day over the month was 17.8 degrees on July 5, so we really had warm days and warm nights compared to past years," Mr Smedley said.
Looking forward, August is still forecast to be drier and warmer than normal.
The average maximum temperature has a 60 per cent chance of being above the past average of 12-15 degrees, while there is also about a 50 per cent chance of the minimum being higher than the historic average of 3-6 degrees.
Average rainfall for August over the past has been between 50 and 100mm, however this year's forecast suggests only a 65-75 per cent chance of receiving more than 25mm over the month.
