A man has faced court following an altercation that injured a police officer in Deniliquin this week.

About 4.40pm on Monday, police attended a home at Davies Court in order to arrest a 25-year-old man for outstanding warrants relating to alleged domestic assaults, break and entry, and a breach of an apprehended domestic violence order.
While under arrest the man allegedly turned aggressive as police attempted to direct him into a vehicle.
He allegedly kicked the hand of a male constable, causing the constable's finger to break.
The accused was once again restrain and escorted to Deniliquin Police Station, where he was charged with 11 offences.
The list including domestic-related matters, destroying or damaging property, resisting police and assault of a police officer.
He was refused bail to appear before Deniliquin Local Court on Tuesday.
The police officer has been treated for his injuries at Deniliquin Base Hospital.
