WAGGA Heat coach Matt Bishop will "take some time out and reassess" whether he will return next year after they finished a disappointing year on a high with a 91-82 home win over Dubbo on Saturday.

Bishop took over the reins a few games into the season and with his background mainly in junior coaching, enjoyed the chance to take the helm of a senior side.
Heat captain Zac Maloney has repeatedly expressed his desire for Bishop to return, stating last week they need a consistent system and strategy moving forward to press for finals after winning just five games this season.
"I'll take some time out, the same way the players need to take time out and reassess the situation," Bishop said.
"If they're keen to have me back and the committee's keen, I'll take that into consideration and move from there.
"It's something I'm seriously considering and interested in, but the girls (Wagga Blaze) are yet to finish so the committee's not in a position where they're looking at it.
"Once they're finished we'll go through the process, but I've enjoyed the time with the boys and been really impressed by the commitment of the core and the coaching staff."
The Heat finished the season relatively well, stretching top five teams Shoalhaven and Illawarra to the limit the previous two weeks before accounting for the last-placed Rams.
Wagga led by 18 points at half-time but Rams import guard Charles Bain (31 points) had one of his best games of the season to keep them in the hunt.
But 36 points from Heat import Matt Brunell, who dominated in the paint alongside fellow big Scott Hare (14) was enough to get the job done.
"We didn't play as well as we wanted to in the last half. It was good to get the win, but I think the boys would rather have put in a better showing," Bishop said.
"We didn't lose our way, but we're holding ourselves to a higher standard. Based on the last two weeks, it's good to see we can close out games."
Defending women's division one champions Wagga Blaze will complete their regular season against Goulburn Bears at Bolton Park Sports Stadium next Sunday from 12pm.
A win would seal top spot in their pool before finals are held in Gosford on August 17 and 18.
