It will be the first night meeting under lights at the multi-million circuit which has so far held 18 day meetings.
The lights have been tested again this week and are ready for the program which includes preludes of the Breeders Challenge regionals for two and three-year-olds.
Wagga Harness Racing Club has previously held 12 races at the former Showgrounds circuit, but Friday's night's meeting will be the perfect introduction for night racing.
The first race will be held shortly after 4pm with the last of 12 expected to be run at about 9.45pm.
The prelude races will see some horses go through to the $50,000 regional finals at Wagga on Sunday, August 4.
It will be Wagga's second meeting of the week after holding a nine-race card on Monday.
