Two councillors, Rod Kendall and Tim Koschel, who were not present at the meeting when this emergency was originally passed, have each declared their intention to support the rescission motion.
Unless any councillors have had a change of heart - or cannot attend tomorrow night's meeting - then the emergency will be repealed five votes to four.
But you can be certain this won't be the last we hear of the issue.
In September 2020, residents will go to the polls to elect nine councillors to represent their interests at local government level for the next four years.
How the incumbents voted on the climate emergency motion - and how the other candidates would have voted - will decide an awful lot of ballots in just over 12 months' time.
Two of the main protagonists in this saga - pro-emergency Vanessa Keenan and anti-emergency Paul Funnell - will have done their chances of re-election no harm by energising their respective bases.
However, one gets a sense that for some of the councillors in the chamber tomorrow, there will be even more at stake.
All the best for the week ahead, Ross.
