The last two races on Friday were abandoned as the track failed to deal with 0.2 millimetres of rainfall.
It was the first time weather had affected the track.
However Harness Racing NSW chief executive John Dumesny believes the issues which plagued Riverina Paceway won't be repeated.
"We've had Ladex back in there and possibly the wrong approach was taken on the day to correct a minor issue which ended up being a major problem," Dumesny said.
A decision to use the scarifier is believed to be the problem rather than the track's inability to take the little amount of rain.
Remedial work has already been undertaken ahead of the next meeting at the multi-million facility on Friday.
Nominations for the meeting close on Tuesday morning.
"What we did discover is a good portion of the material was actually on the peg line when it should be dragged back up all the time as naturally it will fall down," Dumesny said.
Dumesny admitted the situation will continue to be monitored.
Especially with some of the state's best two and three-year-olds preparing to race there in the next three weeks.
"It is something we are keeping a close eye on," he said.
In more good news for the club, things are on track for their first night meeting at the track next week.
A street lighting problem on the approach Cartwright's Hill circuit has prevented night meetings so far, and while the works are not fully completed it isn't expected to have an impact.
"They have to put in two temporary lights to accommodate the one's that are missing, as they couldn't get the poles," Dumesny said.
"The poles will come in early August and we will be good to go."
The July 26 meeting will see heats of the NSW Breeders Challenge Regional series run with group two finals to be run on August 4 after other qualifiers at Bathurst, Penrith and Newcastle.
Harness racing action in the Riverina continues at Leeton on Tuesday night.
