As proposed in the 2019-2020 Operational Plan, eligible pensioners can take advantage of an extra $20 per year to the existing rebate effective from July 1.
Riverina Water Chair Greg Verdon said the total rebate of $120 per year will help reduce cost of living pressures for pensioners. "
We're in a financial position where we can help reduce the financial burden for some of our community's most vulnerable," he said.
Rate payers will also see no increase to access and usage charges in the 2019/20 financial year.
This sees residential rates remain at $1.46 per quarter for the first 125 kilolitres of water and $2.19 for every kilolitre thereafter.
The 2019-2020 Operational Plan was finalised following community consultation where no submissions were received.
Customers can sign up for the pensioner rebate by calling 6922 0608.
