In a release to the ASX, the supermarket chain said it would package together its drinks, hospitality and gaming interests in the Endeavour Drinks and ALH Group businesses ahead of either a demerger, or "other value-accretive alternative" in 2020.
Woolworths said the decision will allow the group to benefit from a simplified organisational structure and have a greater focus on the core food and everyday retail businesses.
A Woolworths spokesperson said at this stage it is business as usual for Wagga's BWS stores, Dan Murphy's and the Tolland Hotel.
"We have only announced our intention to separate Endeavour Group following merger of Endeavour Drinks and ALH," the spokesperson said.
"Following the combination, Woolworths Group intends to pursue a separation of the business through a demerger or other value-accretive alternative.
"For now it really is business as usual for customers and teams."
The soon-to-be spin-off group represented 35 per cent of Woolworths' total profits last year.
The Daily Advertiser contacted Tolland Hotel, but they declined to comment.
