Six unanswered goals in the third quarter broke the game open for the Goannas as they got one back over the Bulldogs for earlier in the year, 10.6 (66) to 5.6 (36) at Mangoplah Sportsground.
Only a goal separated the two teams at the main break but it was MCUE's big third quarter with the breeze that proved the difference as the home team opened up a 44-point lead.
The Bulldogs kept MCUE scoreless in the final term and were able to get a couple of goals back but the damage had been done.
The performance continued the Goannas' resurgence and put them a game clear in fifth spot, while at the same time virtually put an end to any hopes the Bulldogs had of playing finals.
MCUE coach Jeremy Rowe hopes that winning starts to become a habit for the Goannas.
"Four in a row is definitely a good feeling," Rowe said.
"The old cliche, winning's a habit, so is losing, at the moment we're making a little bit of a habit of winning, just for a period of time.
"Four on the trot in a really even competition is something that's not easy, every team is coming at you every week and we're clearly happy with our last month of footy."
MCUE led by 13 points at quarter time but the Bulldogs were quick to make the most of the breeze and hit the front early in the second term.
The Goannas were then able to wrestle momentum back with two goals in two minutes and went into half-time six points clear.
Rowe believes it was an important period in the game.
"We had to be tough and I thought that we were. Turvey certainly came at us really hard in the second when they had a very strong breeze and I was a little bit concerned to be honest but the guys fronted up and wrestled back a bit of momentum with a couple of goals against the breeze," he said.
"They were very important."
They were the only goals against the breeze all day. It laid the platform for MCUE to come out and produce a brilliant third term.
"It's important, every now and again, for the guys to understand where their ceiling is because it allows us to keep holding ourselves to the highest of standards if we're aware where our ceiling is," Rowe said.
George Kendall led the way in an even display from MCUE. Trent Cohalan, Wes Clark and Paddy Griffin also had good games.
Ryan Price finished the game on the bench after his ankle injury flared up but he is expected to be right for next week.
Luke Cuthbert and Nathan Byrne worked tirelessly for the Bulldogs, while Lachlan Leary and Alex Carroll provided a spark.
Both Jeremy Sykes (Turvey Park) and Blake Chapman (MCUE) were late withdrawals.
