After parting ways with National Premier League club Wagga City Wanderers, the fourth-placed Crows have added them to their squad in a bid to press the top three teams for the premiership.
The Gardners, who won a premiership with Wagga United alongside first grade coach Travis Weir in 2013, will play for the club against Leeton United at Rawlings Park on Sunday.
They need to play all eight games left in the regular season to be eligible to play Pascoe Cup finals.
"We know all the boys and their mentality and will to win is what we want to do as well, we think it's the best choice," Henri said.
"He (Weir) ran us through the structure and formation, we're pretty familiar with everything and he knows our style. Hopefully we can deliver for Wagga United and score a few goals."
Fred said they hoped to be at the club for the long haul.
"We thought Wagga United was the best decision to make for this year and hopefully long term as well."
Their acquisition will give Wagga United serious strikepower, with attackers Nazar Yousif, Tyler Allen and Chris Walker also in the squad.
Weir said Allen would be moved down back and said signing the Gardners had the full backing of the club.
"When I sat down with the board and the players, everyone wants them to be a part of the team," Weir said.
"And not just this year, it's a long term thing and the boys themselves want that.
"As soon as I found out (they were leaving Wagga City) our players were onto me saying it was a good opportunity."
"Tyler is so versatile, I played him as a sweeper for a few games last year and he was sensational."
The Gardners were required to sign with a new team by this Sunday, June 30, or sit out the rest of the season.
