Evergreen mudlark Gentleman Max along with Sir Ottavio and Willy White Socks will represent him in a heat of the Stayer Series over 2000 metres.
Gentleman Max will have track conditions made to suit with nine of his 11 career wins coming on wet surfaces.
Sutherland is pleased where all of his horses are at and feels the stable could be in for a successful afternoon.
Gentleman Max relished the heavy track last start to win at Albury and while the track won't be as wet on Sunday, Sutherland knows he can rely on one of the stable favourites.
"Gentleman Max deserved that last win. He has been so good for his owners winning 11 times and earnings $230,000 for a home bred horse," he said.
"He is as sound as a bell and I reckon he can race on for another year or two.
"The three of them have to start in the one race because there isn't much else around them and it wouldn't surprise me if any of them won.
"Sir Ottavio will run an improved race and Willy White Socks is always capable of winning this type of race."
Sutherland feels the Wagga Cup distance of 2000 metres is ideal for his trio.
He and long-time stable clients Leone Watson have a share in Gentleman Max and Sir Ottavio while Sutherland also has an interest in Willy White Socks.
The trainer was impressed with the way Gentleman Max finished off last start when he kept him on the fresh side for the 1600 metres.
Known for his wet track ability, Gentleman Max is also tough racing twice in two days at the Wagga Cup carnival.
It's little wonder why he has endeared himself to his owners.
"He is an outstanding wet tracker and has pulled up really well form Albury," Sutherland enthused.
As for his chances over the program, Sutherland hopes to train a winner or two.
"There are a lot of nice races for my horses so I'm hopeful we can get a couple of winners," he said.
"My horses normally race well at this time of the year and I'm happy with how they are in their preparations."
Last start winner Hangin' With Willy and Riverbend Chief along with the consistent Let's Get Animal and My Maher appear to be Sutherland's other main chances.
