The Wagga Picnics has been supporting Riverina-based charity Country Hope for 15 years and organisers of the the spring launch cocktail party are hoping the event spearheaded by the high-profile addition of Moody can lead into a bumper race day on the October long weekend.
"We are delighted that Peter Moody, who has trained 53 group one winners and is also a fascinating character, has agreed to speak at our spring launch," Wagga Picnics president Geoff O'Hare said.
"The event was a tremendous success last year and it will be a great opportunity to get together with family and friends and get over the winter blues in a relaxed setting and build anticipation towards our annual race day."
The Wagga Picnics Spring Launch will be held at The Hampden at Romano's Hotel on Friday, August 16, with tickets costing $100 per person which includes drinks and canapes.
