Paterson was reported and red carded in the 19.19 (133) to 15.4 (94) defeat, and decided to take the early guilty plea on Tuesday.
Paterson was booked and red carded for striking Coolamon's Matthew McGowan, with the incident graded as intentional, of medium impact and high contact.
He would have risked a longer ban had he opted to contest the charge at the judiciary.
The incident was the only one deemed worthy of a charge across the Riverina League and Farrer League over the weekend.
