The Wagga side gave their finals chances a big boost with a 34-6 win over Junee at Equex Centre on Saturday.
Firing out of the blocks to lead 10-0 after 15 minutes, Brothers got into the grind with the Diesels in the middle stages of the game before capitalising on Daniel Foley being sent off.
Brothers led 10-6 when the Junee fullback was given his marching orders for dissent early in the second half before extending their lead two minutes from coach Peter Little.
Little's second was followed by Harold Kirby's as Brothers scored 24 unanswered points in the second half.
After being winless through their first five games, Brothers haven't lost since.
Sharrock thought the team finally put together a strong second half to ensure just their second win of the season.
"We certainly needed it," Sharrock said.
"It was pretty tight there at half-time and it was good to come out and put them away, which we should have with them one man down.
"You still have to do it but it was nice to get the win."
Sharrock debuted as a 15-year-old and it's taken him 15 years to hit the mark after injury and time away.
He joked he's missed 150 games since his first one but has loved his time at the Wagga club.
"A lot of my friends think I'm mad but I just love being loyal to the club," Sharrock said.
"We haven't been all that successful in my time but we've got a pretty young team and I'd love to see us continue to build a better team on the field and a culture off the field.
"I want to see our club continue to be great pathway for young men to develop themselves."
Brothers went around Junee courtesy of a strong percentage and moved to fifth ahead of the four Sunday games to complete the round.
The win also saw Brothers retain the Rick Keast Memorial Shield.
Sharrock thought it only added to the big win.
"A lot of the other fellas are a bit too young to know Keasty but as a young fella he was one of my coaches," he said.
"For me it was nice to get the win in honour of him and the way we've been going we need to win these sort of games after we let ourselves down earlier in the season."
However it isn't all good news with Brothers centre Ethan MacKenzie stretchered off with a knee injury.
He underwent surgery on a medial ligament problem late last season with fears he's picked up a similar problem once again.
