With the top three earning the double chance in finals, the victory allowed the Blues to draw level with the Saints in third spot on the table with a 3-2 record.
Coleambally made their move in the second quarter and managed to hold off a late onslaught from the hosts to secure the win.
"You get a double chance if you finish in the top three, so we want to keep that position if we can," Blues coach Maddie Mannes said.
"It was a bit do or die (for top three hopes), but I didn't tell the girls that beforehand.
"Our goal shooter Tessa Evans played unreal, it's probably one of the best games I've seen her play, and one of our Leeton recruits Tiah Gillespie was great too.
"We've got a couple of easier games coming up (against Northern Jets and Marrar), we'll shuffle a few positions around and try and work out some plays."
Last year's grand finalists The Rock-Yerong Creek and Charles Sturt University are both unbeaten before they clash this weekend, but Mannes is confident they can be beaten.
"I do think they're beatable for us this year, most years we've lacked talls but we've got one either end now," she said.
"They're beatable, but you've got to be on."
Mannes said the support of experienced teammates had helped her make the transition into player-coach this year.
In other results The Rock-Yerong Creek hammered Barellan 77-21, Charles Sturt University thrashed Marrar 72-18 and Temora beat Northern Jets 54-36.
